Anglers must follow the size and number limits of the Ecological Fishing Permit and Conservation Areas.

Fishing rods can be borrowed for free from provincial parks, conservation authorities and some libraries.

Unlicensed fishing has been available for three other weekends this year in February, May and June. This is the last opportunity to fish without a license until next year in Ontario.
