One person is dead after a vehicle rolled over in Clarence-Rockland’s east end earlier this week.
On Tuesday, August 26, 2025, just after 6:45 a.m., officers with the Russell County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report that a car had left County Road 17 and rolled over in the ditch.
The initial investigation found that the westbound car had crossed into the eastbound lane, struck the guardrail and then entered the ditch where it rolled over
multiple times.
Passing motorists, including an off-duty EMS member, had stopped to pull driver from the vehicle and begin life saving measures. Despite those efforts, the 33-year-old male was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A postmortem examination will be conducted. The investigation by the Russell County OPP is continuing.
