It was a good weekend for the Rockland Nationals.
The 2026 Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) Showcase was held at the Nepean Sportsplex on October 3 and October 4, featuring all 12 CCHL teams.
First up for Rockland was a clash with the Carleton Place Canadians on Saturday, October 3.
The Canadians jumped out to a 1-0 lead early in the first period, but it was all Rockland after that.
The Nationals scored six unanswered goals on route to a commanding 6-1 win. Benjamin Brunton scored twice while Théo Landry, Ben Arnold, Lucas Bertolin, and Alexis Cadran also tallied for the Nationals. Jack Carter stopped 14 of 15 shots, earning the win in goal.
Jeremy Belleau leads the way against Brockville
Fresh off their 6-1 win over Carleton Place, the showcase weekend continued for the Nationals when they battled the Brockville Braves on Sunday, October 4.
And Rockland was able to keep the momentum going in with an impressive 15-3 win over the Braves. Jeremy Belleau led the way with five goals, Mattias Cote scored twice while Jérôme L’Heureux, Benjamin Brunton, Lucas Bertolin, Robbie Dragusica, Félix Cadran, Moussa Seydi and Théo Landry scored Rockland’s other goals.
