Offensive outburst against Renfrew
The CCHL’s best team welcomes the Cornwall Colts to Rockland on Friday, Oct. 17. While the Colts opened the scoring with an early 1-0 lead, it was all the visiting team could muster.
Dylan Allie scored three goals, while adding an assist to lead the Nats to a dominant and impressive 10-1 win. Gabriel Le Houillier and Connor Pierson each tallied two goals, while Josh Lachapelle, Mathis Baril and Mavrick Brunet scored Rockland’s other goals.
Allie, Baril and Pierson were named the game’s three stars.
Close call against Hawkesbury
After scoring 10 goals the night before against the visiting Cornwall Colts, the Nats welcomed the Rival Hawkesbury Hawks to the Clarence-Rockland Arena on Saturday, Oct. 18.
Rockland led 2-1 at the end of the second period and 3-1 at one point in the final frame before Hawks forward Connor Henderson scored to cut the lead to 3-2. But that proved to be all Hawkesbury could score against Rockland goalie Jack Carter, who stopped 25 of 27 shots he faced to earn the win goal for the Nationals.
Noah Turnbull, Alex Kelloway and Danel Myloserdnyy scored for Rockland.
Trade with Braves
The Rockland Nationals announced that the team has sent forward Matthew Vohra to the Brockville Braves in exchange for a third-round pick.
“The Rockland Nationals would like to acknowledge Matthew Vohra for his commitment, hard work and contributions to the team,” said the team in a post to social media. “We wish him the best of luck for the rest of his junior career.”
