Clarence-Rockland will be provided with up to $751,000, bringing the total amount of relief funding to more than $1.5 million across the United Counties of Prescott-Russell.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Municipal Disaster Recovery Assistance program is an important source of funding for municipalities that have suffered extensive damage due to unexpected natural disasters,\u201d stated Steve Clark, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing in a press release.<\/p>\n<p>The other townships receiving funding are Asphodel-Norwood, Greater Madawaska, Limerick, North Frontenac, Tudor and Cashel, Uxbridge and Wollaston.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Provided through the Municipal Disaster Relief Assistance (MDRA) program, Clarence-Rockland and Alfred and Plantagenet are to receive funding to cover a portion of the costs associated with providing shelter, cleaning up fallen trees and damage to municipal infrastructure.
