By the time officers arrived on scene, the suspect had already fled. Thanks to detailed witness descriptions of both the suspect and the getaway vehicle, officers quickly launched a targeted search.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:2,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559731&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Shortly after the initial call, an officer located the suspect vehicle. According to police, the driver deliberately collided at low speed with the OPP cruiser before fleeing the scene. The pursuit continued until just before 10:30 a.m., when officers from the Hawkesbury Detachment intercepted and safely stopped the vehicle on Highway 417.
