Talktober is back<\/span><\/b>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The City of Clarence-Rockland launched the Talktober initiave last year, asking residents to provide feedback on several of its key projects.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This year, City of Clarence-Rockland officials are seeking residents\u2019 input on two of its important initiatives: Budget 2025 and its City\u2019s Recreation and Culture Master Plan.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Recreation and Culture Master Plan<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The City of Clarence-Rockland\u2019s \u202f<\/span>Recreation and Culture Master Plan<\/span><\/a>, which will cover a 10-year period from 2025-2035,\u202fis a long-term vision guiding the development of recreational facilities, programs, and cultural initiatives in the municipality. The City is seeking input from residents ensuring that future offerings meet the needs of all age groups, enhance the quality of life for residents, and reflect the community\u2019s values.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are a growing population, and we have seen how the community has evolved over the last few years,\u201d said Martin Irwin, the City of Clarence-Rockland\u2019s manager of recreation and culture in an interview with The Vision. \u201cWe want to know from our residents if we are heading in the right direction, and if there is anything they want to see<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The City said the plan is to make Talkober a yearly occurrence, and make October of each year the month of public engagement and consultation.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Residents can provide feedback\u202fonline from October 9 – 31\u202fthrough the City’s consultation platform: \u202f<\/span>consultations-cr.ca<\/span><\/a>\u202for participate in one of the in-person public consultations:\u00a0 Oct. 22\u202fat the Optimiste Performance Hall\u00a0 from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and again on Oct. 30\u202f at the Bourget Community Centre\u00a0 from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201d Are residents satisfied? Do they want to see anything new? Do we need more arenas or soccer field? That\u2019s the kind of things we are wondering,\u201d added Irwin. \u201cWe offering a space for residents to provide us with feedback and help us shape the future of our city.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Budget 2025<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

From Oct. 10 until Oct. 24, the City is asking residents to share their input online through the its consultation platform on the\u202f<\/span>2025 Budget<\/span><\/a>. <\/span>The feedback helps guide how municipal funds are allocated to meet the needs of the community.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The City has set aside Nov. 18 to Nov. 20, 2024, for budget presentations at the Council Chambers.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
