The Rockland Nationals Junior A Hockey Club announced that the team has acquired Lucas Bertolin from Thunder Bay North Stars of the Superior International Junior Hockey League (SIJHL) for a player development fee (PDF).

After being traded to his hometown team, the Niverville Nighthawks, of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) last fall, Bertolin put together a dominant, award-winning season when he was named the SIJHL’s forward of the year after racking up 57 points (27 goals, 30 assists) in 35 regular-season games. He won the Bill Salonen Cup Playoff MVP award, posting 23 points in 14 playoff games and scoring three game-winning goals.
