Not all the money was spent for some recreation projects listed in the 2021 capital works plan for Alfred-Plantagenet. Township council approved a proposal presented during its last regular session of the year December 7 for dealing with the surplus funds. 

A total of $32,000 will go into the recreation reserve fund. The money includes $10,000 allocated for phase one of the BMX Park project for the Village of Wendover. Work on the project was not able to begin before the winter season. 

The money transferred to the recreation fund reserve will be available for these projects, as needed, during the 2022 operation year.
