OPP investigating after a backhoe was stolen

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has launched an investigation after a backhoe was stolen from a property in the Summitt Private area last week.

The OPP said the 2015 Case 580 backhoe was taken on Monday, March 16 at approximately 3 a.m.

According to police, a white flatbed tow truck was used to transport the backhoe away from the property, and a white SUV was seen canvassing the area prior to the theft.

OPP ask anyone with information relevant to the investigation to contact them at 1-888-310-1122. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
