Ottawa man charged with impaired driving

A 63-year-old man from Ottawa was charged for suspected impaired driving after he pulled into the Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Clarence-Rockland  last week.  

On June 22, 2024, shortly after 3:15 a.m., OPP officers in the region conducted an impaired driving investigation after motorist, a man in his 60s, attended the detachment with a vehicle that had noticeable damage to both the passenger and driver sides. 

Gregory Perrin, 63, was charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) and Operation while impaired – alcohol CC.  

He received a 90-day licence suspension, and the vehicle has been impounded for seven days.  

He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal at a later date.
