Bourget to host livestream of Sgt. Mueller procession, funeral

The procession for Sgt. Mueller will begin in Rockland at the Théo Burnet Funeral Home at 9 a.m. and finish at the Canadian Tire Centre in Kanata around 10 a.m. The funeral is expected to start at 11 a.m.

Ottawa Police Services, who are assisting with the procession, are warning commuters to expect delays on Highways 174 and 417. Traffic congestion is also expected around the Canadian Tire Centre as thousands are expected to attend.

Though the funeral is closed to the public, the Bourget Community Centre will be host a livestream of the event for residents to attend. A book of condolences will be available for signing at the hall. Doors will open at 10:30 a.m.

A broadcast of the funeral is also available on the OPP social media platforms, Facebook.com/ontarioprovincialpolice and Twitter.com/opp_news.

Anyone wishing to pay tribute at an overpass over Highways 174 or 417 is asked to do so with public and road safety in mind.
