She’s a rising young talent in the Canadian music scene, and now a young vocalist from Rockland is getting the chance to live out her dream.
Julianna Labelle, who just turned 11, is scheduled to perform for the high-profile Canada Day Noon Show at LeBreton Flats on July 1. Julianna is performing alongside some of the country’s biggest acts including Canada Day Noon Show at LeBreton Flats, sharing the stage with major Canadian artists like Alessia Cara, Loud, and TOBi.
“I am really excited and looking forward to being part of the Canada Day show,” said the young singer from Rockland. “This is something that I have dreamed about doing, and I will be there with a lot of Canadian performers I am excited to see, and of course, getting a chance to sing in front of Prime Minister Mark Carney is going to be a really cool experience.”
Julianna Labelle began her musical journey at just six years old and has built a strong reputation as an inspirational performer and national anthem singer at major sporting events, including an Ottawa Senators hockey game at the Canadian Tire Centre and Ottawa BlackJacks professional basketball games at TD Place Arena. She has also performed anthems for the Ottawa Titans baseball team.
Julianna frequently contributes her voice to local cultural and charity events, including the Ottawa Chinatown Night Market, the National Women’s Show, and the Philippine Independence Day Picnic
“She has a really busy schedule, and we are just in awe of how she is able to balance everything,” said Julianna’s father, Drew. “She loves to sing and she loves to perform and we are so proud of her and how she has blossomed into this amazing young talent.” Trained at Ottawa’s Sing House Studios, Julianna specializes in delivering emotionally resonant covers of classic powerhouse ballads including classic hits like Frank Sinatra’s “My Way”, Whitney Houston’s “The Greatest Love of All”, and various songs from Canadian singing legend Celine Dion.
“We are truly blessed and thankful for the opportunities she (Julianna) has been given,” added Drew. “It’s not an easy process to be booked for Canada Day, but she did it because people are impressed with her abilities. She has worked really hard to get to this point, and we are excited to see where this journey takes her.”
