OPP investigating after vehicle destroyed in arson incident

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating an incident involving arson over the weekend.

The incident occurred on June 15, just after 4 a.m when the Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a vehicle fire on Belisle Street. According to police, firefighters were already at the scene.

The investigation found that “incendiary devices” were used to ignite the pick-up truck. Two individuals were seen fleeing the scene in two vehicles. One was dressed in a dark hoodie, dark pants and white shoes. The other was wearing a t-shirt with a hood, dark pants and white shoes.

Anyone with information or has any doorbell video from the area is asked to contact the Russell County OPP at 1-888-310-1122 and refer to incident E250769474.
