During its regular meeting on May 11, the UCDSB received a proposal from student trustees Eshal Ali and Bradford Ward for a new UCDSB Student Trustees Dynamic Leader Award that would acknowledge and celebrate student leadership across all UCDSB schools. 

The award will go to a student who demonstrates continuous involvement in school activities that enhance student life at the school, demonstrates the 10 Character Always traits in their daily activities, helps the community to improve life, and inspires their peers to get involved in the school environment and leadership opportunities.  

Ali said this will help with student voice and increase student morale. School administration can nominate students to be considered for the award until May 20.
