Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) announced that a second person has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of a Rockland man whose body was found in the Ottawa River one year ago..
Robert Prevost, 63, was last seen at his home on Laurier Street in Clarence-Rockland in early February 2025 and was reported missing in early March. On May 17, 2025, his body was pulled from the Ottawa River offshore from Dallaire Street. Following a postmortem, the OPP deemed his death a homicide.
On June 4, 2026, the OPP arrested Luc Decarie, 51, of St-Gabriel-de-Brandon, Quebec, who is charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and indignity to a body.
The OPP announced on that, with the help of members of the Gatineau Police Service, on June 11, Jessica St. Michael, 37, of Ottawa, was arrested and charged with first degree murder and indignity to a body.
