The City of Clarence-Rockland announced on Monday, February 12, the launch of the bciti+ application, an electronic service delivery platform to better communicate with residents of the municipality.

The bciti+ application will provide residents of Clarence-Rockland with important information shared from the city. Through the app, residents can check the opening hours of municipal buildings and services, access community and waste management calendars, make online payments and apply for permits, licenses and tenders.

Most significantly, the municipality will use the app to communicate important announcements from road closures and boil-water advisories to larger emergency communications such as those needed during flooding events or the 2022 derecho windstorm that left much of the municipality without power for extended periods of time.

Residents of Clarence-Rockland will receive information on how to register for the bciti+ application when they receive their tax bill in the coming days, including a QR code to download the app. Registration can also be completed directly on the on the Clarence-Rockland website and Facebook page.

Casselman rolled out their bciti+ application in 2023, joining a list of more than 70 municipalities across Canada using the platform.
